Let’s face it, cancer really sucks! Even if you’re lucky enough never to be diagnosed with cancer yourself, in your life you will know a friend, work colleague or family member who will. Cancer in one form or another will touch your life. As filmmakers we are not going to find the cure for cancer ourselves, but next best thing is to use our skills to raise vital funds for cancer research.

This is why we came up with the idea of The International Cancer Sucks Film Festival. The aim of the festival is to both showcase the best short films from around the world and at the same time to raise money for cancer research. By entering your film 90% of the fee will be donated to Cancer Research UK. If your film makes the festivals official selection it will then be shown to our panel of film industry judges at the live screening. The judges will then pick the winners from the festivals chosen categories.

The festival categories Are:

Best film
Best animation
Best actor
Best director
Best cinematography
Best screenplay
Best film score

Awards:

The winners of each category will receive personalised laurels and certificate.

The winer of the best film category will also receive free entry and make the official selection in the next festival we run.
